Join us for the 58th Annual CMC-South Mathematics Conference in Palm Springs. Choose from more than 280 sessions offered by top mathematics educators from California and the United States. Be empowered to Growing Powerful Students by Using Mathematics as a GPS, including English language learners, under-represented students and students with special needs. Attend sessions geared towards our College and Career Readiness Standards, Mathematics Equity and Excellence, STEM, and Coaching/Mathematics Leadership. Get tips to implement the Eight Standards for Mathematical Practice in your classroom. Learn innovative teaching strategies from the best mathematics leaders.
Although you can still register on line until Oct. 19, you will need to pick up your badge at the Express Badge counter. Badge should arrive by the 3rd week in October. Please make sure you bring them with you, as there is a $5 charge for reprints. Express Badge is in the foyer of the Convention Center.
Information you need to know before you register onsite: You can register with either a credit card or a valid PO from your district. Please make sure you upload the PO during the registration process. If you are a CMC Member, current or expired membership, your registration will renew your membership for the upcoming year. As part of registration you will be asked to provide your preferred email address. Each person will be identified in our database using a unique email address. If you have never been a CMC member, you will be sent membership information after the conference.

Thursday Pre-Session
Pre-Session for Math Coaches, TOSAs, Department Chairs, and Administrators!! Key note will be in the Renaissance in the Catalina Room starting at 1:30. See the agenda above. Come join us Thursday October 26, 1:30- 4:30 for an in-depth exploration on how to be an effective instructional coach for math teachers. We will have national and local experts leading a deep dive into how to coach and support colleagues with their instruction, assessing, and content knowledge. We are often the ones creating and researching the most effective strategies to help out teachers. Connect with local coaches... and hear what is happening in the local districts. Friday Leadership Luncheon Join in the lunch conversation and bring your appetite. Speaker: Dr. Lee Stiff, secondary and college instructor, researcher and past president of NCTM. "Success depends on students taking the right paths in their educational careers. In math, a GPS device is required to guarantee that students get directions that meet their needs and trajectories." Featured Speakers These sessions showcase recognized experts and are held throughout the two days. Excellent Sessions Ignite Session Friday, October 27 at 5:30 in Oasis 3 featuring: Becky Bob-Waksberg, Ivan Cheng, Genevieve Esmende, Shelah Feldstein, Daniel Luevanos, Christina Lincoln-Moore, Jennifer North Morris, Max Ray-Riek, John Stevens and Doug Tyson Watch these math educators light up the room with fresh ideas in teaching and learning.
