MATHEMATICAL JOURNEYS TO EMPOWER ALL STUDENTS
Palm Springs Convention Center * Renaissance * Hilton * Hard Rock 
Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3, 2018



Join us for the 59th Annual CMC-South Mathematics Conference in Palm Springs. Choose from more than 280 sessions offered by top mathematics educators from California and the United States.  Empower and Equip all Students, including English language learners, under-represented students and students with special needs to have a sucessful mathematical journey.  Attend sessions geared towards our College and Career Readiness Standards, Mathematics Equity and Excellence, STEM, and Coaching/Mathematics Leadership. Get tips to implement the Eight Standards for Mathematical Practice in your classroom. Learn innovative teaching strategies from the best mathematics leaders.

Although you can still register on line until Oct. 19,  you will need to pick up your badge at the Express Badge counter. Badges will be mailed out the 2nd week in October for those that have registered (with payment, credit card or uploaded PO) by Oct. 5.  They should arrive by the 3rd week in October.   Please make sure you bring them with you, as there is a $5 charge for reprints.   Express Badge is in the foyer of the Convention Center.

Information you need to know before registration:  You can register with a credit card or a valid PO.   Please make sure you upload the PO during the registration process.  If you are a CMC Member, current or expired membership, your registration will renew your membership for the upcoming year.  As part of registration you will be asked to provide your preferred email address. Each person will be identified in our database using a unique email address. If you have never been a CMC member, you will be sent membership information after the conference.

The online Oct 6 - 19 and on site  is  $245.


Saturday-Only Fee
The online Oct 6 - 19 and onsite is $170.

Student Registration
Friday/Saturday Two-Day  $115
•Saturday –Only   $100

Friday Leadership Luncheon 
Cost: $50.00 for luncheon and guest speaker

Saturday Affiliate Luncheon
Cost: $30.00 for luncheon
Enjoy lunch and meet other educators from your local area.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
All but $75 of the registration fee is refundable if requested in writing by October 20, 2017. Meal tickets and Affiliate Dues are not refundable.

Walking the Journey with Your Teachers
It is their journey. How can we help navigate their road to becoming a more effective educator? Learn from experienced coaches from around the country about topics such as reaching resistant teachers,
establishing relationships, getting your foot into other classrooms…

Ignite Session Friday, November 2 at 5:30 in Oasis 3

Watch math educators light up the room with fresh ideas in teaching and learning. Each speaker gets five minutes, using 20 slides that auto advance every 15 seconds whether they’re ready or not.

Friday Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Saturday Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

CMC Community Hub:  Come and visit the hub, new this year in the exhibit hall to learn more about CMC and Affiliates.   Scavenger Hunt has been added.

Parking at the Convention Center is $8.00

College Credit

Earn one quarter unit from UC  Riverside. 
Requirements: attend 10 (ten) hours of conference sessions and complete a written assignment. Registration forms and detailed information will be available at the conference.
