Conference Volunteers

Sign up to volunteer your time and serve other mathematics educators at the CMC-South Annual Mathematics Conference, October 24 and 25, 2014. The Conference is run by an all-volunteer committee of professionals, like yourself, willing to serve the greater community of mathematics educators in southern California.
Contact Nita Walker if you are registered for the 2014 conference and you are interested in volunteering for two (or more) hours at the conference.

Typical Volunteer Jobs: Help with meeting rooms, help with registration, help with the NCTM or CMC booth in the exhibit hall, help with sign distribution, help with equipment, or help deliver materials.

College Student Volunteers

Receive complimentary registration for the 2014 conference by volunteering four (4) hours of your time as a Student Volunteer at the conference. This special program is only available to full-time college or university students who are not currently paid as a classroom or online teacher. You must be taking at least 12 units at a college or university. There are a limited number of spaces. This is a great opportunity for students who are planning to become career teachers and expect to teach mathematics at any grade level.

If you are interested, click here to access the student volunteer application form. Note that you will need to provide the name of your college advisor and her/his contact information. (Students selected for this opportunity will be registered for the conference by the Student Volunteer coordinators.)

NOTE: If you are a college advisor supervising student teachers and you would like more information contact Kyndall Brown (kbrown@gseis.ucla.edu) or Ivan Cheng (icheng@csun.edu). You may wish to have your contact information added to a network of advisors.
