ORCHESTRATING THE COMMON CORE CLASSROOM
STEP TWO: Proposal Questions
Prepare your answers to the following questions (see below or download) before you select the link to the online proposal form. You may then copy-and-paste selected answers into the online proposal form.
Proposals submitted after May 1, 2015, will be considered as a possible substitute if a regular session is cancelled.
PAGE ONE: Speaker Registration
Enter your name, e-mail address and create a password. This will allow you to re-visit the form later.
PAGE TWO: Speaker Contact Information
Address, e-mail, phones and CMC Member Number (if known)
Job Title, Organization or District
For speakers new to CMC-South there is a place to enter References and Recent Presentations
Indicate your availability: Friday AM, Friday PM, Saturday AM, Saturday PM (check all that apply)
Your preference if you are asked to repeat your session more than once
PAGE THREE: Title/Description/Co-speaker
Make sure you explicity address the conference theme in your title and/or description
Title: Limited to 60 characters including spaces (the form will allow you to keep typing but only accept 60 characters)
Description: Limited to 250 characters in length (see note for title)
Grade Level: You will enter the Grade Span that is the focus for the content of your presentation. Other choices (if applicable) include: College Content,
Adult Education, Teacher Education, Leadership
Co-speaker (if applicable): Name, Organization, E-mail address
PAGE FOUR: Supplemental Information 1
The presentation will incorporate strategies that support: (choose up to three): Social Justice, Assessment, STEM Readiness, Technology Tools,
Intervention/Special Education, Gifted, English Language Learners
Question: What are you session's learning goals and how will it help participants orchestrate their classroom?
PAGE FIVE: Supplemental Information 2
Commercial Questions: (1) Are you connected with a company that plans to exhibit at the conference? and (2) Is there a commercially-available product,
other than a calculator, that is an integral part of your presentation?
Primary Audio-Visual Setup: Menu includes LCD projector, document camera, Interactive whiteboard (SMART available at this time), computer lab (PC or Mac),
tablet lab (iPads available at this time), calculators (TI or Casio), etc.

This is your opportunity to communicate to the Program Committee and/or the Equipment Committee regarding any special needs or requests.
Upon completing this page you submit your proposal.
PAGE SEVEN: Presentation Summary
This page will summarize all of your answers from the previous pages. This is the page you will print for your records.
You may submit a second proposal or you may exit the Speaker Proposal Form.
The Program Committee has prepared suggestions to Improve the Likelihood Your Proposal Will Be Accepted.
